This 3 piece Damascus Steel Chef knifeset is a great gift for your or the cook in your life. The set is a good balance between functional tools and beautiful works of art.

Starting with the blade, the blade core is made up of 10Cr15CoMoV Steel. This allows for a durable, sharp edge that can handle most kitchen work. It has a hardness of 58-62 on the Rockwell scale which means it isnt too brittle or too soft.

A 58-62 hardness can be very sharp without risking damage to the blade during use. It also does not make it hard to sharpen when they eventually dull, which will take a while with proper use.

The core is protected by two 33-layer sets of 316/316L Stainless Steel. This steel is used to protect against rust and other corrosion. This doesnt mean the blades will never rust, they still need to be cleaned and dried after use, But the outer layer allows for a more forgiving time period where the metal wont rust.

A beautiful Wave Damascuspattern is featured on the blade. This makes the knife both decorative and functional. The pattern is contrasted by a North American Desert Ironwood handle with Black G10 and White Brass accents.

The handles ergonomics make it very comfortable to use for long periods. It mimics more traditional Japanese handles with flattened contours. The flattened sections catch light better which helps with the presentation aspects of this set.

Each knife has its own section in the Acacia Wood storage/presentation box. This allows the knives to be easily transported, gifted, or displayed.

The 8.5 inch Damascus Gyuto Chef Knifewill be one of your primary cutting tools in the kitchen. The long edge and more centralized point makes slicing and cutting easier. The wide blade also makes for strong chops while the prominent point lets you pierce tougher materials more easily.

The 7 inch Damascus Nakiriwill be one of your best friends if you like vegetable centered meals. Nakiri are traditional vegetable knives. This means the design is very good at julienning, mincing, dicing, and slicing vegetables ranging from larger examples like lettuce, squashes, and eggplant to smaller herbs like garlic, chives, and leeks.

The 5 inch Damascus Utility knife has a blade similar to the Chef knife. This makes it just as capable but for medium to small cutting tasks. Whether its peeling, de-boning, or some other processing task, a Paring knife is great to have and really rounds out any knife set.

This Damascus Steel Chef knife set just might become your favorite kitchen knives, for both function and show & tell. The best Damascus chef knifeset is the one in your kitchen!
