Description

Cook meals faster and waste less product with the precise and efficient Vulcan K40EL 40-Gallon Stationary Electric Steam Kettle.

This kettle is ideal for restaurants, hotels, and other large commercial establishments because of its ability to quickly and carefully heat up large volumes of liquid. Steam kettles are the perfect appliance for cooking soup, delicate sauces, gravies, rice, meat, and much more.

High Capacity and Efficiency

The Vulcan K40EL has a True Working Capacity of 40 gallons, allowing you to cook and serve a total of 640 (8 oz) bowls of your signature soup or special. With embossed gallon and litre markings that wont fade or wear off, youll know exactly how much product youre making and how much you have left, significantly improving your business accuracy.

Unlike with using a stock pot and range where heat is only emitted from the bottom, steam jacketed kettles feature a cooking surface that covers two-thirds of the pot allowing much more of the product to come into contact with the heat source. This provides you with much faster cooking times while using a lot less energy. By using a kettle, youre also preventing hot spots and scorched soups resulting from range cooking that must be done at much higher temperatures.

Durable and Practical Design

The Vulcan 40-gallon steam kettle features an ellipsoidal-shaped bottom that offers better heat transfer. The liner is formed from a fully welded type 316 stainless steel that provides superior protection against corrosion over time. The exterior is made from type 304 stainless steel that will easily stand up in high traffic kitchens.

The kettle comes equipped with a spring assist hinged cover with a condensate ring to prevent injury from hot condensation when opening the lid. Three sturdy tubular stainless steel legs put the unit at a working level and feature flanged feet that can be easily bolted to the floor for added security.

Simple and Accurate Controls

The Vulcan K40EL has stainless steel, watertight controls that feature a power switch, solid state temperature control, indicator light, vacuum/pressure gauge, pressure relief valve, low water light and low water shut-off.
