We proudly present our newest collaboration, @rootsstudio x JuJuBe. Roots Studio connects brands to indigenous artists who create cultural art bringing deep meaning to each style. Featuring artists across South Asia, each design not only helps continue their heritage but also provides a sustainable source of income to their family and community. Inspired by kernels of maize – the Bhil’s staple crop, Dotted Diamonds features “pointillist” art created by indigenous artist Ramesh Katara and represented by Roots Studio. Each dot joins another in wavelike ripples from one diamond to the next symbolizing stories, prayers, ancestors, memories, and traditions. Muted pinks, orange, and brown are skillfully painted into a symphony of multihued and rhythmic dots. Lined in soft blush and adorned with satin rose gold hardware, this print echoes indigenous creativity from generations past to present.
