Offering you a less aggressive solution to colouring, ColourSafe provides brilliantly glossy and vibrant shades that revive colour and provide long lasting results. The range also contains a blend of vitamin E, plant keratin and organically certified sunflower oil to help repair the hair shaft, protect colour, and leaves your hair glistening with health and vitality.NaturVital ColourSafe is free from Ammonia, Resorcinol and Parabens. We have replaced Para-phenylendiamine (PPD) with a less aggressive ingredient for a kinder and more natural colouring experience. PARA-PHENYLENEDIAMINE (PPD) is responsible for most allergic reactions following the use of hair dyes. (source: SCCP )The absence of PPD in the formula could minimize the risk of allergic reaction on the scalp. Persons with a prior PPD allergy should read instructions carefully. Confusion occasionally arises as Natural Vital hair dye formulas often contain a number of similarly named compounds. Both PPD and Toluene-2,5 Diamine Sulfate belong to the same family of ingredients: phenylenediamines. Since these related ingredients belong to the same chemical family, it is mandated by the European Cosmetics Directive to list the official warning text That would read contains phenylenediamines on retail packaging. Natur Vital hair Hair Dye that DO NOT contain PPD may still list phenylenediamines in their ingredients; however, they will not contain PPD (p-phenylenediamine. ) Directions: Wash your hair 24 to 48 hours before dyeing to allow natural oils in your hair to develop allowing dye to bind to your hair more easily. You must do a sensitivity test 48 h before the use of the hair dye. We Recommend That the Patch Test is done on the inner Elbow People sensitive to PPD can also be sensitive to other ingredients in ColourSafe formula. These dyes are aimed at users who want to avoid the cumulative effect of these ingredients. Follow the directions provided on the product and apply the dye to your hair in sections. Set a timer. Wait until the process time is up to rinse your hair. Shampoo and condition your hair with the provided NaturVital Sensitive Shampoo and Hair Mask. Dry your hair and style as usual. Sunflower– Helianthus Annuus L. Sunflower extract is derived from the petals of Helianthus annuus L flowers, or from their seeds, which contain flavonoids, essential oils and active ingredients such as pectins and glucose. In cosmetics, Sunflower seed extract is used to protect natural and dyed hair colour from ultraviolet rays and free radicals. As well as its photo-protective and hair colour protection functions, it also has anti-inflammatory, anti-irritation, purifying and antiseptic actions. Sunflower essential oil is also used, which is known for its antiseptic properties. Soya – Glycine max Soya extract is derived from its seeds. Soya lecithin (phospholipid complex derived from soy beans) is mainly used in cosmetics as a hydrating agent. Soya extract is rich in carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals. It is used in cosmetics as a hair conditioner, due to its anti-breakage properties and its ability to hydrate and protect hair fibres. Its isoflavones protect hair colour from oxidisation. In phytotherapy, Soya has been used in hormone replacement therapies during the menopause and as an adjuvant in osteoporotic processes, again, thanks to its isoflavone content. Wheat – Triticum Vulgare Wheat germ is the most nutritious part of Wheat and is used in cosmetic products due to its softening, hydrating and conditioning properties. Wheat Germ contains protein, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamin E, glucides, lecithin, mineral salts and trace elements. Its revitalising, stimulating and strengthening action helps to combat hair loss. Thanks to its proteins, it is used in cosmetics to provide hydration and improve skin elasticity. As a hair conditioner, it softens and protects hair colour from oxidisation and solar radiation. Jojoba – Simmondsia chinensis Natural Jojoba Oil comes from Simmondsia chinensis seeds, an evergreen, woody desert shrub, which originates only from the American Sonoran Desert. It is a highly-valued oil and one of the most used in cosmetics, due to its moisturising and emollient properties and its oxidative stability. Incidentally, it isnt an oil but a complex mixture of long-chain natural esters, with many superior cosmetic properties compared to other lipids. Over 97% of jojoba is liquid wax ester, with a combination of mixed tocopherols, free steroids and other unsaponifiable materials. Its best quality is its stability: it remains intact at extreme temperatures and does not easily oxidise, therefore its the perfect base for all types of natural cosmetics that want to forego mineral oils, petrolatum and paraffin wax. Natural Jojoba liquid esters help to stabilise natural and synthetic active ingredients that are sensitive to oxidisation. Jojoba forms a very thin, non-greasy layer on skin, which melts into the skins sebum. Non-occlusive, it retains moisture and allows the skin to breath, providing hydration, flexibility and softness. It is also suitable as a hair treatment: Jojoba quickly penetrates the scalp and hair fibres, it dissolves residue build-up and leaves hair clean, conditioned and flexible. FAQs Does it cover the same as a dye with ammonia? Yes, the dye covers 100% of gray hair and its color is permanent. The only difference that you may notice compared to a dye with ammonia is that with ColourSafe you do not lighten your base tone, but the color settles on top of your base tone, it can be the same or darker than it. Is it suitable if I have an allergy to PPD? No, we do not recommend the dye as an alternative for people with PPD allergies, as the color may contain other substances that may also be allergenic to people with known allergies. Therefore, although many people with a PPD allergy do not develop allergies to ColourSafe, if you are going to use it it is essential to do a skin test 48 hours before applying it. The test will be carried out with the content of the color tube, without mixing with the oxidant. Can I save tint for future applications? The tube/developer mix should be prepared at the time the stain is to be applied, as it oxidizes quickly and loses efficacy. Therefore, if you are going to use a part of the dye alone, you must store the rest without mixing and hermetically closed. You can store the dye for a maximum of 6 months.
